Public Storm Signal No. 4?Whoever thought it was a killer storm?. As I watched Mang Tani's interview at GMA news To Go someone asked him how strong is Signal No.4? and when he answered it he was told that he's just exaggerating the details for the people to be scared. And since it happened, and we already saw the aftermath of Storm Signal No. 4 he think that it can be an eye opener for us.
Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan, International name), this super typhoon that devastated Philippines is believed to have killed Thousands of Filipino people. A shocking truth that many of us can't believe it with just a span of time thousands of people were killed. A heartbreaking news that all of us wanted it to be a nightmare.
Houses damaged by Super Typhoon
It is sad to say that many of our kababayan are suffering now. What they need today is food, clothes, and shelter. Basically the basic needs of the people. And I was happy that Filipino's is kind hearted in helping the victims of Typhoon Yolanda like the local celebrity. To name few artist like Anne Curtis who helped raised funds by means of garage sales, selling her clothes, dress, gowns and even taking photo with her with a minimum amount, Sharon Cuneta donated P10 Million, Kris Aquino donated P400 Thousand for the resident of Ormoc City and other municipalities in Leyte, Angel Locsin by auctioning off her 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle. And most of the celebrity and ordinary people joined a telethon and repacking of relief goods in different organization. It is not important how much you donated what matters most is you extend your hands by helping the victims of Typhoon yolanda whether by big or small amount, by telethon or repacking of relief goods and the easiest way is by praying extending your time, our time to ask for the help of god.
"There is nothing more worthwhile than to pray to God
and to converse with him, for prayer unites us with God
as his companions. As our bodily eyes are illuminated by
seeing the light, so in contemplating God our soul is
illuminated by him." -St John Chrysostom
For what is happening right now, I know that we didn't loose our faith in God. We still have our tomorrow, It's about time to spread the essence of being a FILIPINO let's help each other, open our heart and let's get united.
Where hope would otherwise become hopelessness, it becomes faith. ~Robert Brault
